Interesting discussions took place and, among other things, the following issues addressed:
• How will household sizes and space requirements develop? And which new living arrangements are emerging – shared/collaborative living, cooperatives, individualization and intergenerational/senior shared homes?
• Which geographical trends are apparent – concentration versus urban sprawl, houses in the countryside, urbanization, congested areas, agglomerations and outskirts?
• Which demographic trends are emerging – from the aging population to falling birth rates and immigration – and what effects will these have on living in the future?
• How automated and digitalized will the home of the future be, and which living and furnishing trends could this lead to?
• How will the cost of living develop – and how will rental prices compare to buying a home?
• Which mobility trends are apparent, how do they impact on living and what influence will mobility have on the choice of location?
