History
«Let lifestyle and home decor merge together» was the credo of wohnbedarf founders Werner Max Moser, Sigfried Giedion and Rudolf Graber. As early as 1933, wohnbedarf moved into the rooms designed by Marcel Breuer at Talstrasse 11 in Zurich, which are since used as exhibition and planning rooms. In close cooperation with internationally renowned architects and artists, such as Alvar Aalto, Le Corbusier, Max Bill, Marcel Breuer, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Alfred Roth, furniture was made which today are deemed classic pieces. In the 1960s, wohnbedarf extended its activities to include office space.
